The SystemBase "SB16C1053APCI" is a controller that converts 2-channel UART and 1-channel parallel port to PCI bus. It converts the parallel port interface to MIO Bus TM, allowing for the installation of an external Quad-UART in place of the parallel port, enabling expansion up to 6 ports. Equipped with two SB16C1050A cores, it reduces CPU load with a 256-byte FIFO, achieving high resistance to overrun errors. Additionally, it operates without performance degradation even when multiple ports are used simultaneously. Furthermore, with the PCI power management function that applies interrupt or wake-up requests, it can start up a shut-down PC. The SB16C1053APCI allows for the addition of up to 6 serial ports and facilitates easier serial communication with RS-422/485 auto-toggling and global interleaving functions. With the SB16C1053APCI, it is easy to create multiple serial/parallel multi-port products.
